the official website of the Clerk of Hudson County! In
an effort to assist members of the public with the services
offered by the Office of the Clerk, we have designed this website
that includes all the necessary information and details for
all of our divisions, including Archives and Records Management,
Elections, Public Records, and Passports.
As the Clerk of Hudson County, I hope you

Fee Increase, Effective July 13, 2010
As of 1/1/2010 this office no longer
issues Hudson County General Resident ID cards.
BIRTH CERTIFICATE INFORMATION:
To request a certified copy of a birth/death
certificate for persons who were born or died in Jersey City
or Secaucus, please visit:

or call 1-866-649-8726
As of October 30, 2010 the United States Department of State
does not accept Puerto Rican birth certificates issued prior
to July 1, 2010 as primary proof of citizenship for a U.S.
passport.
