Business Registration / Dissolution

You can register your new business with the Office of the Clerk: Division of Public Records

Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., excluding County holidays.

IN PERSON:

  • Appear at the Hudson County Clerk’s Office:
    Office of the Clerk of Hudson County – Division of Public Records
    Hudson County Plaza
    257 Cornelison Avenue- 4th Fl.
    Jersey City, New Jersey 07302
  • Download the New Certificate of Trade Name Forms and print four copies.
  • All four copies must then be notarized before you bring them with you in person to our office.
  • Complete the forms with original signatures and bring them with you, along with a $54.00 fee by Money Order, on the day you arrive.
  • Fee: $50.00 registration fee + $4.00 for two true copies – Total cost $54.00 (Payable by Cash or Money Order)
  • Additional true copies are $2.00 per copy.

 

BY MAIL:

  • Download the New Certificate of Trade Name Forms and print four copies.
  • All four copies must then be notarized before being sent to the address below.
  • Complete the forms with original signatures and mail them, along with a $54.00 fee by Money Order
  • (Each additional copy is $2.00)
