COUNTY CLERKS NO LONGER REQUIRED TO PRINT GUBERNATORIAL STATEMENTS ON SAMPLE BALLOTS

TRENTON– Bill A-4875, which was recently signed by the Governor, specifies that County Clerks are no longer required to print Gubernatorial Candidate Statements on sample ballots. Alternatively, the bill requires that statements submitted by gubernatorial candidates be posted online on the County Clerk’s website, and on the websites for the Division of Elections and the Election Law Enforcement Commission.

Candidate statements will be posted online at www.hudsoncountyclerk.org as soon as they are provided to the Clerk’s Office. Hardcopy statements will also be available upon request at the Hudson County Clerk’s Office.

The Hudson County Clerk, Barbara A. Netchert, congratulates the bill’s sponsors and the members of the New Jersey Constitutional Officers Association who worked together on this legislation.
